Promo Voiceover
For television networks, streaming platforms, and series promos
Promo Demo
Promo voiceover is the backbone of television marketing. Every time a network teases its next big show, every time a streaming platform announces a new original series, there is a voice behind that moment. That voice has to grab attention fast, hold it, and make the audience care enough to tune in. I have been doing exactly that for over twenty years.
What TV Promo Voiceover Actually Requires
A good promo voice does more than read copy with energy. The read has to match the tone of the show, the network's brand identity, and the specific goal of the spot. A drama promo needs weight and tension. A comedy promo needs timing and a light touch. A news promo needs authority and urgency. The ability to shift between those registers quickly is what separates a network promo narrator from a general voice actor.
Most promo sessions move fast. You get the script, sometimes with picture, and the turnaround is measured in hours. I have built my entire workflow around that pace. Same-day delivery is standard. Rush turnaround in one to two hours is available for breaking news promos and last-minute schedule changes.
Streaming Platform and Series Promo Narration
The promo landscape has expanded well beyond traditional broadcast television. Streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV+ all produce promotional content that needs voice talent. Series launch campaigns, mid-season teasers, binge-watch marathons, and social media cutdowns all require a narrator who understands pacing and can sell a show in fifteen seconds or less.
I have voiced promos for national and regional networks, cable channels, and digital platforms. The format changes, but the job stays the same: make the audience want to watch. Whether the spot runs during primetime, pre-roll on YouTube, or as an Instagram Reel, the voice has to cut through.
A Broadcast-Quality Studio in Orlando, Florida
My home studio in Orlando is built for broadcast work. The signal chain includes a Sennheiser MKH416 shotgun microphone (the industry standard for promo VO), a Universal Audio Apollo Twin interface, and UAD plug-in emulations of the Avalon VT-737 and Manley VOXBOX channel strips. Everything records inside a Whisper Room isolation booth, so the audio is clean and broadcast-ready out of the box. You can review the full equipment list on my studio specs page.
For directed sessions, I connect via Source Connect, Zoom, or Google Meet. You hear the audio in real time, give notes, and we keep rolling until the read is right. Most promo clients prefer this workflow because it mirrors the experience of being in a studio together.
Promo Voiceover Deliverables
Every promo session includes broadcast-quality WAV files (48kHz/24-bit), processed through iZotope RX 11 Advanced for noise reduction and final polish. I deliver multiple takes and alternate reads as standard practice, so your editor has options in the timeline. MP3 files and custom formats are available on request.
Trusted by Major Brands and Networks
Over the past two decades, I have worked with Fortune 500 companies including Amazon, Google, and Walmart, along with production companies and agencies across the country. That experience means I understand what producers and editors need: clean audio, consistent levels, and reads that hit the mark on the first pass.
Over twenty years of professional recording experience. Clients include Amazon, Google, Walmart, and production companies serving major television networks and streaming platforms. Based in Orlando, Florida.
